Sitting close to the sea and humble in nature you’ll find this gem of a cottage. Originally built in the 1950s and expanded in the 1970s, this 1,500 square foot home still featured its original plumbing fixtures and appliances, along with an assortment of surprising quirks throughout!

Our challenge was to reimagine the home's functionality while preserving its spirit. The project included improving the flow between the kitchen and dining areas, redesigning the guest bathroom, incorporating a laundry space, refining the primary bathroom layout, and updating fixtures and finishes throughout.

One of the greatest joys of this project was working with homeowners who embraced the home's unique character. Their goal was not to erase its history, but to create a comfortable retreat where they could unwind, gather friends around the table, and spend their days crabbing in the waters of the Salish Sea.
